The numbers show that applications for industrial property rights have increased in their most relevant modalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Regarding the number of national patent applications, including PCT entries in the Spanish national phase, were 1456, which represents an increase of 10.5% compared to 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Regarding designs applications, there has been a large increase in the total number of designs, rising to a total of 14573 designs, which represents an increase of 33.4% compared to 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Finally, a total of 48773 national trademark applications and 15124 trade-name applications have been filed throughout 2023, which represents an increase of 7.8% in the number of national trademarks, and an increase of 21,5% in the number of trade-name applications compared to 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Carlos Ba\u00f1os<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Patent Department<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office \u2013 OEPM has published recently the statistics of applications filed in Spain within 2023.
