The final resolution of the granting aids for the promotion of applications for Patents and Utility Models within the year 2023 was published by the Spanish Patent Office (OEPM) on December 1st. Those granting aids can be consulted on the OEPM’s website.
Every year OEPM opens a public call for applicants to request a granting aid for promoting applications both for Spanish national procedures and procedures before the national Offices of third countries or regional Offices, including PCT applications.
The purpose of these granting aids, which must be requested by the applicant, is to promote the use of Industrial Property by Spanish companies and use it as a tool for access to international markets.
It is expected that the public call for the year 2024 will be opened at the beginning of the second quarter of this year. We will keep you duly informed.
