National Design: This design is filed before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and grants exclusive rights to its holder only within Spain. Up to 50 variants may be included in a single application, provided they relate to products belonging to the same class under the International Classification for Industrial Designs.
European Union Design: The European Union Design is filed before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and grants exclusive rights across all EU Member States. As with national designs, up to 50 variants may be included in a single application, although the filing fee is higher in this case.
International Design: The International Design is filed before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and consists of extending an existing design to selected countries that are party to the Hague Agreement and/or Protocol.
