Our clients may require this type of analysis to guide their decision-making and strategies regarding R&D&i policies, strategic alliances, competitive analysis, and, more generally, to understand the position of a given technology at a specific point in time.
The patent department of Abril Abogados organizes and analyzes the collected information to produce reports, either as one-off reports to assess the current state of a technology within its immediate environment, or as ongoing monitoring reports when the service involves the surveillance of a specific subject or activity.
To this end, the following steps are carried out:
- Establishment of the state of the art from a given date;
- Issuance of a positioning report; or,
- Regular and continuous communication of developments identified in the monitored area from the specified date onwards.
It should be noted that our file management services include, in relation to patents within the same field published in the Spanish Industrial Property Bulletin (BOPI), the periodic sending of informative alerts of this nature.
