The European Patent Office (EPO) recently issued an information notice announcing increases in the amount of official fees. This increase will take effect on April 1, 2026. In this regard, most official fees will increase compared to the current rates, including search, examination, designation, grant, and annuity fees.
It is recommended that all applicants having pending actions that involve costs and/or any applicant that wants file new applications would act before that date to benefit from the current rates.
