MOBILE WORD CONGRESS will take place again in Barcelona from 27 February to 2 March 2023.
The Judges of Commercial Courts of Barcelona and Alicante (with Intellectual Property jurisdiction, among others) have activated for another year the GUARD SERVICE AND SPEEDY JUDICIAL ACTION PROTOCOL for the processing of requests for preliminary proceedings, fact-finding proceedings, requests for preventive writs and for the adoption of urgent precautionary measures.
All of this in order to solve in a rapid, preferential and priority manner any disputes that may arise between companies that participate in the Congress, which have as their aim patent rights and technological innovations, industrial designs, trademark infringement, Intellectual Property rights, defence of competition, acts of unfair competition, as well as unlawful advertising.
As a novelty, it is worth noting that these measures will be extended to any act of presentation, exhibition, promotion, offer or sale, carried out by participants also in the metaverse or any other virtual environments and worlds or online platforms.
If you are going to participate in the Congress, you should know that, if an act of violation is detected, you might have access to an urgent interlocutory injunction thanks to the application of the Protocol. Likewise, if you suspect that you may be the subject to any measures, you may also anticipate by preventing the adoption of these and avoiding therefore the cautionary suspension of your activity during the Congress.
